Kate Kessling, born 1967, trained at Goldsmiths College in the late 1980s, followed by an MA in Conceptual Textiles through a British Council Scholarship to Poznan Academy of Art.
Kate Kessling runs a studio in Oxfordshire; she works to commission, collaborates and exhibits her work nationally. Clients include Habitat, The Art Group and QI. Her work is concerned with 'seriality', with the rhythm that objects create in repetition, the similarities and differences as everyday objects interact, introducing unexpected elements to enhance the tiniest details, her work is described as 'pop- minimalist'.
Each print is produced in a small edition on the finest cotton rag paper to Archival standards by Contrary Press.
