We could be forgiven for initially mistaking Richard Jenkins beautiful photographs for Oil paintings. Although Richard Jenkins uses the medium of photography to generate his images, the way in which he composes, constructs and lights his subjects and indeed his obviously approach to beauty and the creation of it, is similar to that of a painter. Rather than directly documenting a subject and capturing an obvious moment through the eye of the lens, Richard's personality and own aesthetic is clearly reflected within each work creating a real sense of ownership and intimacy within each composition. |
