Escha Van Den Bogerd

Escha combines a range of painting techniques - dripping, pouring and glazing- to produce these beautiful, haunting images. A stunning sunset of crimsons and oranges blast onto the canvass and the skillfull details pull in the viewer. The romantic locations and enigmatic poses combine in these beautiful paintings, alive in colour and gripping in content. With bolts of sunlight the canvasses show the depths of passion and poetic affairs of the subjects. Alive and engaging, these are paintings for people with verve in their heart.

Leo Verhoeven

Verhoeven's flat simplicity of form, repetition and lack of superfluous ornamentation demonstrate the kind of order found in a utopian ideal of architectural and social reform. Bu using solid blocks of bright colours, the artist emphahsises his response to the urban world. He takes a pop influence and uses it to create works that are striking and iconic. The buildings are familiar and the style is forthright, but by creating formative balance and harmony of colour Verhoeven's work contains a subtle depth and power. Confident and accomplished, it is little wonder that Verhoeven is one of our thirty best selling artists.

Zin V.

The artist Zin works in a Cubist style in oils and acrylic. The surface is alive with a welter of playful geometric forms creating a very striking effect. Human figures may be discerned within the complex patterns, which rely on lines of a stong black and white contrast. Zin's use of the Cubist style is sophisticated and the paintings have varying portrayals of space. Whereas many are busy and intricate, others appear to show an interior space or architectural elements. Furthermore, these are cubist works with a contemporary cartoon-like quality.

Putting together such unusual bedfellows as rose, mint and chocolate brown, she creates fresh, funky abstracts that evoke the light and drama of Barcelona where she lives. No matter which configuration of bold, energetic brushstrokes she employs for each composition, her singular colour sense shines through generating a positive uplifting response.

Alexandre Vassilev-Vasilevsa

The paintings of Alexandre Vassilev-Vasilevsa strive to be and indeed achieve their author's goal, of being quite unique. He is interested in the process of the work, believing that the viewer should be able to track the changes. Thus each painting comes with its own memory card with a video of the painting's progress! But apart from this interesting departure, the paintings themselves are an exploration of fragmentation. Some appear to derive from mosaics yet others are like screens made up of thousands of shattered pixel shards: This interrupted treatment of the visual field is combined with conceptual play using the high art of Christo, Rothko and Modigliani. Yet he cleverly juxtaposes these with simulations of everyday formica surfaces such as cafe tables, toilet walls and municipal spaces.

VINCENT VINCENT

VINCENT VINCENT is an artist, seemingly named after one of the greats and interested in repetition. Irony abounds in the work of this talented draughtsman. Initially favouring pen and ink, he later moved into employing digital techniques, paint and sculpture. His work "Disasters of Raw, Initial Study of Liberty's Escape by Brooklyn Bridge" turns the Stars and Stripes into a wordsearch...an enigma of stereotypical American signs. The Ground Zero hero is portrayed as our only chance of rescuing freedom. here is an artist who is using his skills to explore the serious issues of today using a satirical, tongue-in-cheek language.
