Edyta Ignaczak

Edyta Ignaczak is predominantly a printmaker who uses traditional drawing and printmaking methods as well as exploring advanced digital technology. Using her chosen medium to visually explore a subject or concept, her work is as much about the first mark on the page as it is the last. Through the layering of line and form Ignaczak creates a concentrated sense of history and a transparent sense of discovery in each raw and often emotional piece. Currently living in London her work is in private collections across the South of England.

Katarzyna Ilyszyn

A figurative painter specializing in acrylic, Katarzyna Ilyszyn predominantly draws with paint. Entangled in an intricate use of frenetic line and complex colour formations her figures seem to undulate between the background and the foreground, emerging into the composition only to be swallowed again. Katarzyna was born in 1978 in the Silesia Region of Poland and now lives in Cracow, Poland. After completing her education at The State High School of Arts in Dabrowa Gornicza in 1998, she graduated from the University of Silesia, Fine Art Painting, in 2004.

Michal Janowski

Polish born Michal Jankowski creates mixed media and acrylic work that broods with intensity. Combining instrial blues and greys with warming touches of colour, his work resonates with a complex depth and texture. Born in 1984 in Poznan he graduated from UCS and has recently had a solo exhibition at the Carnivale Venue in London. His work is popular with collectors for its mixture of energy, movement and brooding stillness. He captures vigour and silence, bringing them together in his work to a great effect. In his paintings human forms combine with spritual elements, while the undertones of political uncertainty are never far away. He is a young artist with a very bright future, and we are excited and thrilled to show his work.

Katherine Jenkins

For many artists the study of light and the attempt to capture it on a flat surface, like canvas has been a life time preoccupation. Katherine, an emerging artist, has also started her journey towards discovering light and its impact on the final result of a painting. She enjoys exploring it while painting still-lives and interiors, which are good models for her case study.

Eric  Jobbins

Eric has been trained as a teacher with his main subject being art. His inspirations came from the works of the Pre-Raphaelites and Salvador Dali's surrealism, but he created the most powerful opinions about art when he saw a Spanish Super - Realist exhibition about 30 years ago. Since then he has been driven by an urge to capture detail in painting and aimed to achieve three-dimensional imagery, with a hint of impressionism.

Hans Johansson

One brief glance at the CV of Hans Johansson confirms that this is a very experienced, established artist. Having trained at the Royal College of Art in Stockholm, he has exhibited work in many different countries such as Sweden, America, Spain, China and Britain. He has shown at the prestigious Saatchi Gallery, on Tube posters in London and in Times Square, New York, to name but a few impressive sites. The work he shows here at Londonart is comprised of sensitive pencil drawings and a recent oil painting. The works in pencil are renderings of mysterious, mythological muses, which only partly cohere, thus adding to their hypnotic allure. Both the drawings and the painting have a strong sense of movement in their line and brushwork.

Yvonne Johnson

Specialising in Charcoal on paper, Yvonne Johnson spends a great deal of time in the life room. This form of dedicated study encourages and strengthens her ability to look, in this case at the human form, and to reflect what she is able to see and experience in front of her. It also reinforces her ability to visually create 'life like' representations by relying on her imagination and memory. Trained at Leeds Art College, a finalist of a National Art Prize, Yvonne Johnson now exhibits in London.
